Secluded Pingo Valley

For those who love to go off the beaten track and experience the pure and unspoiled nature of Patagonia, this trip the way to go. During the hike up the Pingo Valley you get in touch with the unique glacier scenery and the various flora and fauna of Patagonia. You sleep in the great outdoors in a wilderness camp. The highlight of the tour is the visit of the Tyndall glacier, part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the third largest expanse of land-ice in the world after Antarctica and Greenland. The starting point for this trip is the city of Puerto Natales in the South of Chile. With less than twenty thousand inhabitants and a distance of 250 kilometers to the nearest Chilean city, it feels like a small island in the middle of the vast landscape.

This trip is suitable for somewhat experienced hikers prepared to forego some comfort and live close to nature. During the hiking days, porters will carry 5 kg per person as well as the tents to reduce the luggage load for each participant. The rest of the load (including for example camera, rain jacket, box lunch etc.) is carried by participants. Minimum group size of 2 persons is required.

The program starts with your arrival in Puerto Natales. Please let us know where you will be travelling from so we can help you make arrangements to get to Puerto Natales if you need.
